Stickers:
Sheet of 6 for $9 or Sheet of 12 for $18
Transfer Station Permits:
$10 each (max. 2 per household)
 
Stickers are for sale at the Town Office, by mail from the Town Clerk, at the Benson Village Store, and G& L Store.

RECYCLING INFORMATION:

The following materials are RECYCLED for FREE. Please sort them into the proper containers.

 
Cardboard Dumpster:
  Unwaxed Corrugated Cardboard (No Pizza Boxes, Please!)
Metal Dumpster: . Metal Lids (including gaskets)
Cans (including labels)
Aluminum Foil and Pie Tins
Scrap Metal, Sheet Metal Pipes, and Wire
Metal Barrels (except those contaminated with chemicals)
Metal with plastic attached is permitted, such as strollers, VCRs, etc
Battery Bucket:   Small alkaline and rechargeable batteries (AAA, AA, C, D)
See Attendant:   Large Batteries, Cell Phones, Laser Cartridges, Ink Jet Cartridges,* Hazardous Waste, Refrigerators and Air Conditioners
Single Stream Recycling Dumpster:  

Glass Bottles and Jars (all colors)
Plastics (recycling symbol 1 through 7) (Including Plastic Bags with recycling symbols)
Boxboard (uncorrugated cardboard excluding soda/beer boxes)
No Lids with Gaskets
No Household Glass/Ceramics
No Styrofoam or "Peanuts" Please!
Newspapers, Magazines and Junk Mail

 

*Seven or fewer Computers, laptops, monitors, televisions, printers, and peripherals are accepted at the facility for FREE from any Vermont resident. Please speak with Transfer Station Attendant for further information.

*Household hazardous waste is accepted at the Rutland County Solid Waste District (RCSWD) (www.rcswd.com) Hazardous Waste Depot on Gleason Road in Rutland throughout the year. There is no fee for Solid Waste Alliance Community residents. Business hazardous waste is also accepted at the RCSWD Hazardous Waste Depot for a nominal fee.
